Product Introduction
Product Overview
The Console is the first hub-type interface users encounter immediately upon logging into the BK-Lite platform. It serves three critical roles: a unified entry point for the entire platform, a global message delivery and reception hub, and a command center for personal preferences. The Console transcends being a simple menu collection — it's architected as a highly customizable, cross-platform "personal operations workstation" that delivers information access with minimal friction to IT and business personnel across different functional roles.
Core Advantages
- Unified Authentication & Central Portal: Serving as a gateway across all underlying subsystems, it integrates seamlessly with the unified permission engine to ensure users only see applications they're authorized to access after login, eliminating cognitive noise from irrelevant system views and preventing privilege violations.
- Personalized Portal Card Management: Different departments require fundamentally different platform subsystems—developers prioritize LLM and deployment systems while operations teams focus on monitoring and alerting. The Console ships with a flexible, drag-and-drop visual editor enabling each user to independently subscribe to, suppress, and sequence portal cards based on their actual high-frequency workflows.
- Omnichannel Cross-Module Message Hub: Converges all event notifications from alerting, permission changes, model training completions, and beyond into a single reception point. Messages flow through a unified NATS internal message bus with strict source validation: only built-in modules (Monitoring, CMDB, Alerting, Logging, Jobs, Node Management, OpsPilot, Operations Analysis) and pre-registered custom applications can deliver messages; unauthorized or unregistered sources are rejected. Messages exceeding 2,000 characters are also blocked. This unified approach provides industrial-strength batch notification management, liberating users from drowning in fragmented internal communications.
- Cloud-Native User Profile Management: Centralized control surface for user credentials and security preferences (email rebinding, language/timezone, password rotation, etc.). Maintains synchronized APIs across both mobile and web clients, ensuring personnel information remains consistent across all endpoints and changes propagate instantly system-wide.
Use Cases
- Rapid Organizational Onboarding: When new team members join or organizations roll out new systems, first-time users can complete their profile initialization directly in the Console. During daily operations, it serves as a high-velocity navigation hub for jumping between subsystems like CMDB and Monitoring.
- Unified Alert Backlog & Audit Trail: When reviewing alert acknowledgments or conducting permission audits, users navigate from the Console's notification bell to review pending items and execute batch acknowledgment workflows.
