Quick Start
This guide will help you quickly learn how to customize your homepage layout, receive important platform notifications, and manage your underlying account preferences from your very first login.
Prerequisites
- You have obtained an official basic access account and initial password for the BK-Lite platform.
- The system administrator has completed your basic identity registration and assigned you viewing roles for specific applications (such as Monitoring, OpsPilot, etc.).
Step-by-Step Guide
1. First Login and Card Subscription
Preparation steps for when you enter the portal for the first time with valid credentials.
- After accessing the system through the login page with your system credentials, since this is a brand-new account, you may see an initialization prompt window for first-time loading. Follow the default system guide and click to complete the basic setup.
- Once on the homepage, you may see several default "application cards" displayed according to system distribution rules (e.g., "Basic Monitoring" or "CMDB").
- Click on the "Customize Settings" button or similar function on the page.
- In the application sorting panel, you can drag and hide less-used applications, or drag the primary systems you need to access most frequently for your role (such as "Operations Workbench") to the top position. Finally, click "Save".
2. Account and Personal Preference Management
Ensure notifications are delivered to the correct email and maintain international timezone alignment.
- Find and click on your avatar in the upper-right corner, then select "Personal Information" management page from the dropdown menu.
- If you collaborate across international regions, you can modify the display "Language" and the system default "Timezone" here to ensure data and log timestamps are displayed without discrepancies.
- If necessary, you can change the email bound to your personal account. During this process, you will need to complete a security verification through your old email verification code or identity credential review.
3. Password Compliance Management
Strengthen weak passwords based on company audit requirements or as part of regular maintenance.
- In the security management section within your personal information, click on "Change Password".
- Make changes according to the dynamic "security policy requirements" displayed on the frontend (which may require: a minimum of 12 characters, including special characters and both uppercase and lowercase letters, among other strong constraints).
- Save and it is recommended to try logging in again.
Verification and Closure
After completing the setup and system integration, you can verify and wrap up during your daily work:
- Refresh the current Console homepage and observe: whether the core dashboard applications you configured are arranged in the top position, and whether irrelevant cards have been completely filtered out of the visible area.
- Click on any application to enter it, and you can quickly return to this "main control portal" from the icon in the upper-left corner.
- When you leave the main site or return to an inner page after some time, if you notice a red badge or number indicator notification appearing at the top of the Console, click the "notification bell" next to your avatar. In the "Notification Center" popup, review the specific system notices you need to follow up on. If you confirm that the batch of events poses no potential risk, you can directly click "Mark All as Read" to complete the business audit follow-up closure.
